Jen and Phil Snell and their two children, Luke and Faith, have been serving in full-time ministry in Brazil since 2012.  They had no idea what God was going to lead them into, and it was far from where they started-both geographically and in ministry.

During a time of prayer and reflection, Jen felt the Lord saying, "If you trust me, I want to use you to do a new thing."  Although they had no idea what that meant, they trusted and stepped out in faith.  That leap of faith took them more than 2,000 kilometres to the city of João Pessoa on the Northeast coast of Brazil.

Shortly after their arrival, it was clear that what they thought they would be doing was not what God had planned.  On the streets of the city, Phil and Jen began to notice girls and women, offering themselves for a price.  Their hearts were broken for them as they felt the Lord say, "These are my daughters." They realized at that moment that these women and girls were who Jesus had sent them to serve.

Hope Ministries was born.

Over the past five years, they have been meeting them on the street, bringing the love of God through prayer and conversation, held meetings in an oceanside tent, and opened a drop-in centre where these precious daughters can receive prayer, discipleship, food, clothing, medical services and most importantly, HOPE.

They recently received this message from one of the women we are serving:

"I believe that God sent you guys to change my life.....I want to let God change my life..."
